Engineering Joint Council

The UC Davis Engineering Joint Council, a consortium of student representatives from each of the Engineering Clubs, facilitates opportunities for the undergraduate engineering student body that promote interaction with various engineering student clubs and the College of Engineering Administration by integrating students and clubs in activities which promote outreach and club visibility, networking, collaboration, and professional development.

The Role of The Engineering Joint Council Representative

As an EJC rep you have been selected by your primary club (i.e., IEEE, SWE, AIChE, etc) to become the liaison between your club and the Council. The Council integrates students and clubs in activities that promote outreach and club visibility, and encourages networking, collaboration, and professional development.

Your role as an EJC rep will be to communicate EJC's activities to your club and club members. You will also communicate to EJC your club's activities. In addition, EJC will become the primary pipeline between the College's Administration and the engineering students as well as becoming a conduit between ASUCD's Commission on Student Affairs and the engineering students.

EJC will also maintain its ties to the National Association for Engineering Student Councils (NAESC) by attending national and regional conferences when possible.

EJC will fund, when possible, engineering students on the council to these conferences.
